In Apocalisse, players take on the role of Last Ones, human survivors inhabiting an inhospitable and ravaged land. These survivors are at the center of a clash between otherworldly forces, and must choose whose side to join in order to affect in a tangible way the fate of the Final Battle. For this reason, the creators of Apocalisse recommend players only choose Last Ones, though all races for 5e are compatible and usable in an apocalyptic scenario.
