12th October (Saturday): One Shot Roleplaying and Story Game Night
6pm for a 6.30pm start
Join us for an unforgettable evening of one-shot roleplaying and story games!
Are you ready to dive into thrilling adventures, spin epic tales, and explore new worlds—all in just one night? Whether you're a seasoned roleplayer or brand new to the world of RPGs, this is your chance to experience unique, self-contained games that challenge your creativity and immerse you in unforgettable stories.
This is a great opportunity to try out new games or bring a game that you've been trying to get to the table for a while.
How it works
At 6.30pm, people who wish to run a game will pitch the game to the rest of the group. After everyone who wants to run a game has had a chance to do so, as a group we'll work together to ensure that we match interested players to games, with a view to starting playing at 7pm.
You aren't guaranteed to get to play the game you most want to play, but we'll do our best to ensure that everyone gets to play something they are interested in. We encourage you to be flexible and be willing to try something unexpected!
Entry is £10 but entitles you to a £10 gift voucher to spend in store or via the Leisure Games webstore.
A few extra details:
- Pitch games that can be played within 3-4 hours. Please stick to one-shots and don't try running the first session of a campaign.
- Any roleplaying or story game is acceptable, whether it is new or old, published or even a playtest. If you are planning to run a playtest, please make that clear when pitching your game however.
- We will have a number of one-shot games available that can be easily taught and set up for newcomers, but we encourage everyone to bring their own games to pitch as well.
- This is an inclusive, welcoming environment. Racism, sexism, homophobia and transphobia is prohibited. We don't expect GMs and facilitators to use any particular tools but we do expect them to respect people's boundaries, engage in safe play. This is strictly non-negotiable.
We look forward to seeing you!
Due to safety concerns and the potential for mature themes in the games being run, this will be restricted to people aged 18 and over.
